Current prices and exact limits are shown in the app (Settings → Billing). The philosophy: Free is the whole product — your full history included. Your memory is never windowed on any plan. Paying buys breadth (more accounts per connector), automation you shape yourself, hosted runtime, and shared team spaces. When you hit a plan limit, Nexus tells you at the moment you try — it never silently thins your results.
Your agent runtimes are priced separately from Nexus and by you:
- The local agent runs on your Claude subscription — no marginal cost per run.
- The hosted runner runs on your own Anthropic API key — Anthropic bills you directly for usage. Nexus never marks up model tokens. We recommend setting a spend limit on your key in the Anthropic console.
Upgrading
Settings → Billing → Upgrade takes you to Stripe Checkout. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe; Nexus never sees or stores card numbers. Pro attaches to your personal space; Team attaches to a team space you own, billed per seat.
Manage billing opens the Stripe customer portal — change the payment method, adjust team seats, download invoices, or cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
Team seats
Team subscriptions are per-seat. Inviting beyond your seat count is blocked with a clear message — add seats in the portal first. Only the team owner can subscribe or manage the team's billing; this is enforced server-side, not just in the UI.
What happens on downgrade
If a renewal fails, Stripe retries for a while and you keep access during the retry window; if it gives up (or you cancel), the space returns to Free. Two things matter:
- Nothing is deleted. Your memory, notes, and briefs all stay, and your full history stays recallable — memory is never windowed on any plan.
- Plan limits are soft ceilings on new things. Connections you already added keep working after a downgrade (reconnecting them stays free too); you just can't add accounts beyond the Free limit until you upgrade again or disconnect one. When you hit a limit, Nexus says so right where you tried — it never silently thins your results.
